What is KIDS PATHWAYS PEEL?
KIDS PATHWAYS PEEL provides service coordination for children and youth from birth-18 with special needs, living in Peel Region. Through a network of service providers, KIDS PATHWAYS PEEL is able to offer a range of service coordination supports tailored to each family’s situation. The PATHWAYS team will answer questions and/or concerns, and provide timely support and guidance.
KIDS PATHWAYS PEEL provides a range of services that can include:
- Providing information about programs, respite services, parent workshops, etc.
- Assisting families to connect to services and resources and providing referral support when needed
- Giving information about Special Services at Home, Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD), respite funding, other funding sources
- Assisting parents in coordinating community resources and working with other services
- Receiving KIDS PATHWAYS PEEL e-broadcast plus a link to calendar of upcoming workshops related to special needs
- Accessing KIDS PATHWAYS PEEL – Family Resource Orientation Evenings (staff available on site to answer questions and provide resources) and access to the Resource Connection (lending library)
- Assisting in developing network of supports including connecting families to other families
- Developing individual service plans
- Working with families to prepare for transition to school, adult supports and services
Who is eligible for KIDS PATHWAYS PEEL services?
Children and youth with special needs (i.e., developmental disability, physical disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder), birth to 18 years of age and living in Peel Region.

KIDS PATHWAYS PEEL referrals are accepted from families, agencies, schools, and other professionals through KIDS PATHWAYS PEEL Intake. The PATHWAYS team is available to take your call between 9 and 5 pm on weekdays and they are fluent in English, French, Arabic, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu languages.
